Frida and Torsion and Sculpture and You

looking at art.jpg

This week I’ve been thinking a lot about viewing art, and coming to the body in similar fashion- such a thing to behold! To contemplate the beautiful and miraculous- that inner space of blood and salt, of freedom and pain, of every last wimpier of every last soul, as can be accessed through this mechanism of watching- it astounds me every time. We’ll have all sorts of options for your inner art viewing this wk through the frame of your mat, your mind, and the parameters of presence itself.

Join me tonight in the sculpture garden live or zoomed as you like.

(1st and 3rd Sunday’s of the month)

Storyhour at 5pm MST tonight

Yoga at 6.15pm

Join for one or both or just lay back and enjoy the scenery.

And next week on location in NYC!

Zooming:

calendar is here.

I remember so fondly the days of my college years- voraciously devouring the myriad opportunities for the feast of beauty and learning that is NYC… the museums, the people watching, the cornucopia of life’s boiling brilliance in a tiny pot plot of land, one layer on top of the next, snuggled in by water and symbolizing so much for so many. I’m eager to feel her depth, and height, and character once again.a

We’ll still be offering it up living room style, so may not be that much variation, but the big apple has a way of letting herself be known to you, one way or another.

Gift for you:

Last wk’s class with inspiration from Frida Kahlo and all things twisting and turn-ed. See here.

(unlisted video so this is the only link to get access).

May we all come to know the awe that is invoked from utter openness to the art of life in all her mess and beauty.

In care and kindness,
Julia
