Back to School

Greetings everybody...
Ahhh.. these last languid lazy days of summer are slowly coming to a close and rolling right into the energy of back to school. I have to confess- the inner dork in me (which makes up the greater percentage of my innard divisions- if not all), is positively in LUV with the feeling- Penn's campus is all abuzz, the kids in the neighborhood are going out for school supplies and donning their backpacks with eager gusto - ok, quite possible that the latter is sprinkled with a little envious projection... but... you know what i mean.. It is hard not to get swept up in the energy of learning. And why resist?? Bring it on, i say!! So beautiful the turning of the seasons and allllll that they carry with them. And it is not only the electric energy of ignited craniums that gets me going.. it is also the little details hinted at in nature as transition approaches.. like the most well-kept secret that you have suddenly become privy to.. bit by bit, little by little, this glorious unfolding. Sneaky- like a child making out with a cookie from the cooling rack- she stealthfully shape-shifts before our very eyes. I am endlessly intrigued by all of the details of this holy transfiguration. I hope you too, are enjoying the show.

And in the realm of studies- i've been hunkering down this summer with the amazing gals at Two Scarves to put together a new website. It came in a dream last spring, and i am super exited to share it with yall. It also features some of my favorite artists and musicians, so keep an eye out for that next week...(if you wanna see a little teaser visit the intro page at formayoga.com- where you can also hear my awwweesome aunt and uncle make some magic- I mean, music, I mean, both!). I'll give a holler when i climb out of the woods and it's all set fer press...
And speaking of woods..

If anybody has a wild hair, or three, come join me on !wednesday! (tomorrow) to tuck it away in the wilderness of california. Big Sur, yoga, hiking, hotsprings, swimming holes, majestic landscapes, local organic eatin.... gonna be good...
Check out backtoearth.org for more details.

Philly folk, it has been such a pleasure to rest in the sturdy arms of stillness together once again. Friends from India, Cakilaki, and Colorado, I remember my summer with such fondness.

And to everyone, i wish you utter enjoyment of your brains' curiosities!

The song of the cricket plays on, but not for long...

Luv Julia
