~a slew of things... with an art-tickle to boot ~

Dear friendly friends~

sunny road.jpeg

Many warm wishes to you on a day that is slowly thawing my inner frozen bits. It has been chiilllllly up in these parts. If you are elsewhere in the world, Colorado just had some abnormally early wintry weather and lots of it. It was stunningly beautiful, but my body is appreciating the sun right now, and this, I am finding is the remarkable and much welcomed pattern here (not unlike the unveiling of what lies within).

Speaking of.. there is lots to share in regards to the wintry season of shorter days and deeper thoughts. Below are some ways to be together and to be within that might strike your fancy...

RADIO HOUR

Radio hour is back! Last month's broadcast after yin class was so much fun that we decided we'll add this to the first yin class of each month. This coming Wednesday is one of my very favorite radio shows- Radiolab and they are interviewing America's very own Dolly Parton. So yes folks, we are going from 'non-dual' teachings to one of the most celebrated and emphasized 'dual' body parts of all times. Sorry yall- that one was just waitin for the pickin, but seriously, tata jokes aside, Dolly, is one of the most prolific and talented song writers of all times. She has composed over 3,000 songs and hits just about every emotion and human experience. The gal's got soul. And to be interviewed by none other than Jad Abumrad!- I mean this eclectic duo is a dreammatch made in my version of heaven (admittedly a strange place).

I, for one, am exited.

Bring your snugglies!

And see here to read an earlier post about the art of listening in this way.

And for all the Adya fans out there- never fear- he has 2 broadcasts this month, so we will have an unofficial bonus radiohour following yin on Wed, Nov 13th :)

Friday, Nov. 8th: 6.30-9pm

NOURISH

~An evening of yoga, ceremony, and connection for women~

I have had the great honor and privilege to gather in circles of women for many years, starting with my beloved women's circle back in my San Francisco days. Something magical happens when we gather, circle, share, and practice together. There is much to add about this but suffice it to say, deep nourishment comes in many forms, and this will be a night chock-full of it!

One hour of yoga, various rituals and ceremony, holding space for one another and connecting in ways that everyday life does not allow, and a dinner of warming organic vegan soup, will all nourish right town to the bone. Come hold and be held, in the circle of women- the circle of life.

And one last share.....

ART-TICKLE ARTICLE

Ahhh words. Phonetics.. endless hours of entertainment, I tell ya.

And ticklishness!... what a curious and wonderful thing.

But I digress... this week, VoyageDenver published a little article/interview about me, my process, and life. It was rather daunting  to write at first, but by the end, I appreciated so much, the opportunity to tack down the thing that feels so elusive sometimes... insofar as one can. I would love to share that with you all.

You can read here.

Please enjoy and I'd love to hear what arises for you.

Well, one thing is certain, it is mighty cozy in the gallery. Come join me for some art inspired yoga, or any number of things, for that matter.

Much love,

Julia
