Howdy friends~

I'm just back from navigating the wilds of Kauai and all of its green magic. It was beautiful and stunning, but back it Boulder, it has definitely made the inevitability of darkness (as in winter) all the more pronounced.

While I did teach (and LUVed connecting with the Kilauea community at Metamorphose Yoga), I also had a chance to push pause and do nothing but feel sand under belly and get carried away by ocean's lullaby (swinging from some ocean side rope swings didn't hurt none either... I mean where else on earth?? I am a converted lava luva, beyond doubt's shadow).

But really- the pause- the suspension- the moment of open space and agendaless rambling, facilitated an inner exhale from something much much deeper than mere pleural spaces.

Here's 2 retreat opportunities for you to push pause in the very near future:

Dec 13-15th:
The Invocation of Winter-
A staycation Yoga retreat for winter solace and renewal
at the Eldorado Springs Art Center

Friday evening- 5.30-7.30pm
Saturday- 10am-5pm (bring a bag lunch, dinner provided)
Sunday- 10am-12pm

Investment: $150-$225 sliding scale

Practice yoga, meditate, break bread together, explore silence, rest, hike, restore.....
Schedule breakdown sent upon signup

January 23-26th:
Creative Feminine Soul Plunge in Isla Mujeres -
Yoga, ocean, heart, and soul on the Island of Women

~a small intimate group so that we can do some deep dive mastermind masterheart work/play/practice/creating/unfolding. Take your practice- and your life- to the next level.

and another way to succumb to the tug of the season:

December 21st
Enlighten:
A Women's Solstice Gathering of Yoga, Ceremony, and Connection

Led by myself and Margaret Selby

See flyer below for nourishment to the max

I've been bathing in the words of my dear friend and inspiration (unbeknownst to him) Rainer Maria Rilke especially since his birthday last week

Here's a poem for you in these sweet dark times~

The darkness from which I come,
I love you more than all the fires
that fence in the world,
for the fire makes
a circle of light for everyone,
So that no one sees you anymore.

But the darkness pulls holds it all:
the shape and the flame, the animal and myself,
how easily it gathers them! -
All powers and all sight-

and it is possible a great energy
is moving near me.

I have faith in the night.
