Out like a lion, in like a lamb……
Happy month of unpredictability y’all~

As far as I can tell, the oldest mention of the lion / lamb proverb dates back to 1732, but is probably older than the eighteenth century given that much was shared through story and oral transmission. And you’ve probably heard it in both directions- lion lamb, lamb lion- which is not because people forgot the way the saying goes, but rather that our weather world expresses herself in all sorts of wild ways. If there’s one thing we’ve all saddled up next to this last year, it’s been the unpredictability of existence.

Given that this is the case, it sure is nice to have something that’s predictable and allows us to show up no matter the weather of the skies, of the culture, or even of our own minds (cut to: yoga mat! :)) And perhaps in addition to the spontaneity of existence, March also reminds us of our multiplicity, straddling the winter/spring line as she does.

This evocative colloquialism and time of year, feels like the perfect time to tell y’all about a new offering we’ll be starting on the 21st of March.

It’s something that’s been rolling around my noggin for almost a year now- and parts of it for several, but really feels important given all that we’ve been though recently.

We, Earth Bound Broads, is a group of powerful women planted firmly in ourselves and on planet earth, living and working in service to “We.”

Utilizing:
yoga; meditation; pranayama; coaching/ life design,; neuroscience; circadian rhythm; sisterhood; food & nutrition; music; journaling/ sketching/ word capture; ritual; environmental, economic, and social skills and awareness; and more.

We will hone in on some simple practices and structures that bring us home- each week, layering in a new tool; all the while finding our unique axis mundi and feeling in to what that may mean for unique you.

A woman is creative by nature. Her very existence is creation itself-whether she is giving birth or standing before a literal canvas is irrelevant to the fact that she is a vessel for living and a walking work of art.

Sometimes, we need a little assistance to really reach those things that are wanting to be born in us- dreams, desires, goals, whether they be of fitness, artistic creations, job satisfaction, family fulfillment, social justice, environmental concern- whatever it is… sometimes we can not expand the way we truly want to on our own.

This program builds a scaffolding around you and your fulfillment through various practices and through the sisterhood of coming to gather (the world’s strongest trampoline of attainment).

EBB:

Being the word lover that I am , and noticing that ‘ebb’ was getting a little shafted by big brother and trendy bro, “flow”, I thought I’d highlight and harness a little of what she has to offer which is everything.

This place where the tide rolls out is a place that holds much- a reintegration, a preparation, a cause for pause, so that flow can be all that she is. SO many things are needed of our earth right now, and the only way we can be of assistance is to deeply come home to ourselves and move out from that place.

We, Earth Bound Broads, is an angle from which to approach all of this life stuff that is more interested in embodiment than moments of transcendence. In and down, rather than up and out. Here and now, rather than into some unknown space. More interested in living ourselves so fully and completely that we are also capable of showing up for each other. We are not looking to escape into states of bliss, but to know how to be more of ourselves, that we might serve our world and each other with more integrity, and deeper levels of wisdom.

We have learned this year more than ever, that singular spiritual attainment is maybe not what is needed. It seems we have collectively received a little tap on the shoulder to ask of us that we do this together. This has shown up for me in a VERY personal way, and I’ll share more on that at another time, but the hours upon hours of navel gazing is out and moments of collective investigation in service to the world and culture at large, are WAY in.

And then of course the ‘web’… rather goes without saying….

On other notes, i am making moves to come back to the mountains and feel really happy about that. I will bid beautiful San Miguel adieu and head north to another sort of beauty.
