: : : Light that Blooms, Broads that Broaden

I don’t know if I’ve ever captured an aura- or even known what one was for that matter, until this..

Yall know the yoga I love is pretty data driven (not without it’s sprinklings of awe, mystery and wonderment) so when my photo came back with an aura, I did what any self-respecting curious scientist would do, I asked chatgpt. Well come to find out, there is an all-too-appropriately named effect in photography called ‘blooming’, where excessively bright light spills over into adjacent pixels. This creates a glowing or halo-like effect around bright objects against darker backgrounds.

I couldn’t help but feel this was a direct metaphor for the practice of yoga itself, and perhaps something we might all be called forward to engage these days… to spill a little light into the dark corners of existence.

It is that vital time of year when the “darkness is swallowed whole by the light” (from a poem we read and moved with in zoom yoga this week). And it is the time of year I look forward to perhaps more than most, which is the royal dance with spring that is the EarthBound Broads Group Program.

The practices we engage in this cross section of science, art, and ancient wisdom amps up the system, enhances your you-ness, and provides that glow-up that would have us spill into the spaces that surround. It isn’t a process of by-passing and shifting out of or around, but rather of the deepest planting of feet on earth- of swallowing our dark whole… not pushing it away. Integrating, absorbing, bringing into the system for deep nourishment, and yes, shedding what is extraneous.

This group gives specific practices for exactly that. And when done in community we have the added benefit of momentum that’s inevitable when carried together. Applied to YOU and your unique expression, but honored and held within the circle of women.

We will find:

LUMINOSITY & STRENGTH : :
POWER & AN ABILTY TO RECIEVE : :

And when I say power, I mean the kind that is regal and born of the heart. The power that goes to battle for generosity. That gets quiet and takes her cues from what’s simple. The one that fights on the frontlines of the nervous system and knows that the health of a people lies in their deepest collective healing yet also rests deeply on the cushion of inner worlds. The kind that shows up in fullness - a cup that overfloweth and a light that shines not without dark but inside of it all.

The power that understands the parallels of:
The nervous system and the rivers of an alive and pulsing planet.
The mycelium threading through the earth and the neurons firing in the creative brain.
A web—not just of technology—but of kindness and care.

Ferocious care for all that is most fragile. Deep internal rest around what will grow and give birth to beauty.

Calling all wondrous women to join us for the next round of EarthBound Broads ~

You will:

️ Engage in a set of transformative practices with a group of incredible women (and I mean that with all I got in me).
️ Find inspiration for the stormiest of hearts.
️ Strengthen your capacity to hold both softness and strength.
️ Amp up what is inherently light and luminos and aflutter with love.

We will:
Find our verticality so that we can widen with wisdom.
Weave into and alongside Mother Nature as guide and giver of all.
Witness, share, and amplify the beauty we already are.
Transfigure all that no longer serves.
Explore the intersection of data-driven science and ancient practices.
Feel the seed within the offerings of art and literature.
Whisper to the unconscious in ways she understands..
Inquire into the unthought answer.

Pretty sure it’s a pretty important time for such a thing.

Despite all efforts to prove otherwise by many, the mystery and the magic is mighty hard to refute.

Bloom on bountiful ones.
